Power Source - Rotational Power
Developing the ability to add angular velocity to rotational kinetic energy.
Power = Force (Type II Fast Twitch Muscular Activation) x Velocity (Speed of Movement)
Rotational Power is delivering force with velocity through a particular plane or, sometimes, multiple planes. The golf swing and baseball swing are two examples of utilizing rotational power but many other sports also call on rotational power. A particular issue with developing rotational power is applying that power with accuracy. The objective is to generate rotational power from proximal to distal as in starting with the large muscle groups and flowing to the small muscles further from the trunk. Timing is a crucial factor in developing maximum rotational power. One of the most power robing sources of rotational power is tension. Using a Tsunami Bar helps take tension out.
